Dara Jehangir Bharucha, is a veteran in rubber industry, having experience for more than six decades. Born on 12th January 1936 in Mumbai, he did his graduation from St. Xavier's college in 1955. He is also associated with the All India Rubber Industries Associations for many years.

His first job was at Firestone Tyre Company in Bombay at their technical department. In 1962 he joined the first carbon black company - Philips carbon black Ltd in West Bengal. He had the privilege of testing the first lot of carbon black produced in India. He then joined Bayer in 1972 as Regional technical manager and later promoted as Technical and Development manager at their Thane Head Quarters from where he retired at the age of 60.

After retirement, he is associated with the Bhimrajka group since 1996, a leading distributor of Performance Polymers and Chemicals in India.

Young entrepreneurs and members have been benefited with his rich knowledge and expertise for three decades. His active role in AIRIA's technical seminar, NRC, International conferences etc. has given guidance and motivation to the Association's member's and committee over the years.
