UTH GmbH, a specialist in fine-mesh straining and precise extrusion based on its proven roll-ex gear pump technology is going to present its state-of-the-art rubber processing technologies at the renowned international Tire Technology Expo in Hannover, which is taking place from March 4 - 6 2025, in Deutsche Messe, Hannover, Germany.
The company develops high quality machines and provides innovative solutions for particularly gentle processing to achieve clean rubber.
With a focus on sustainability and efficiency, UTH is setting new standards in the tire industry by combining high quality with cost efficiency.
For 30 years, the proven roll-ex extrusion system has been synonymous with reliability and innovation. As the globally leading solution for fine mesh straining in rubber processing, the roll-ex technology ensures particularly gentle processing of rubber compounds. With throughputs of up to 10,000 kg/h, UTH's gear pump extruder and straining solutions meet the demanding economic and technical requirements of the rubber industry.
Inline straining, in particular, offers significant advantages in tire production which are shown, for example, when straining masterbatch stages or final batch. Due to its modular design, the roll-ex system - based on the patented gear pump combined with either a two-roll feeder (TRF) or a conical twin-screw extruder (DSE) - can be seamlessly integrated into almost any production line concept. This flexibility enhances the efficiency and productivity of mixing lines.
UTH's groundbreaking Two-Roll Plasticizer (TRP) Technology is setting new benchmarks in the tire industry, forming the basis for continuous milling. This innovative solution ensures consistent, high quality results while saving resources and energy critical factors in tire production where even minor material inconsistencies can impact product performance and precision.
TRP technology is suitable for the plasticization and homogenization of masterbatch and final batch compounds, delivering reproducible material properties. Thanks to its advanced temperature control based on an innovative roll design, the TRP enables a particularly gentle and steady processing. Additionally, the system incorporates modern safety features and automation, boosting both operational safety and productivity.
To meet the tire industry's increasing demands, the TRP system offers several key advantages: its lower installed drive power, compared to conventional batch kneaders, increases economic efficiency in the mixing and extrusion area. At the same time, this innovative technology facilitates the efficient reprocessing of rework into homogeneous slab material, avoiding losses compared to the remilling of rework material within batch mixers.
As part of the conference session "Innovations and Best Practices for Advanced Manufacturing and Inspection", Dipl.-Ing. Annemarie Hillebrecht, Head of UTH's Technical Center, will give a lecture on March 5, 2025, from 15:45 to 17:25 in Room 1, sharing detailed information on UTH's groundbreaking technology.
At booth 2012, visitors can explore UTH's latest developments, the wide range of application options and the tailored, customer-specific solutions offered by the modular roll-ex system. UTH's team of experts will be on site to provide individual advice and detailed insights into the company's innovative technologies.
