Manoj Vembu, Director of TRST01 Guiding Associations and Governments iSNR, an initiative forged between TRST01 and the India Rubber Board, demonstrates how advanced digital solutions can revamp traditional supply chain models, significantly enhancing traceability and compliance while delivering tangible benefits across the global natural rubber sector.
For iSNR, TRST01's solutions are being deployed across 888,400 hectares of natural rubber plantations and an estimated 1.2 million farmers in India1. The creation of the iSNR framework underscored the need to understand both an exemplary regulatory focus (in this case, the EUDR) and the farmer's perspective, to determine if they could be bridged with digital transformation.
The success of the initiative is dependent on improving the economic success of farmers (and thus, their lives), as it leads to better adoption of digital tools.
