The Rubber Board is conducting EUDR sensitization programme for the owners of rubber holdings and estates. The programme is scheduled to be held in Kottayam on 24 March 2025, in Trivandrum on 25 March 2025 and in Mangalore on 27 March 2025.

As Natural Rubber and its derivatives comes under EU listed commodities for deforestation free regulations, Board initiated action for implementation of certifying NR under Indian Sustainable Natural Rubber (iSNR) and for EUDR compliance. To facilitate export of rubber and rubber products to EU, the Board has entrusted M/s. Trayambu Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd (TRST01) for supply chain mapping and developing traceability systems as mandated in EUDR regulations. Board is rolling out 100% polygon mapping of all the rubber plantations. In a major bid to elevate the global stature of Indian natural rubber while ramping up domestic production, the Rubber Board has initiated action for implementing certification of Natural Rubber/Rubber products under Indian Sustainable Natural Rubber (iSNR) for EUDR compliance and issue of due diligence certificate.

As part of compliance with these EUDR regulations, supply chain mapping, development of traceability systems, geo mapping of the plantations are pre-requisites for this process. The Rubber Board will start geo-mapping of natural rubber plantations in Kerala.

This digital mapping effort will initially focus on the ten rubber growing districts before expanding to other regions in the country. It will map land ownership, area and boundaries of rubber holdings. The data collected will be stored in centralized data hosted by the Rubber Board and confidentiality of the data is ensured.
