The All India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA) successfully organized a webinar on April 3, 2025, focused on "Transforming India's Rubber Sector with EUDR (European Union Deforestation Regulation)." The session featured key speakers, Shri Prabir Mishra, Founder and CEO of TRST01, and Shri Manoj Vembu, Co-Founder and Director of TRST01.

The event commenced with a warm welcome by Mr. Anay Gupta, Senior Vice President of AIRIA, and was attended by over 147 participants from the rubber industry. The webinar delved into critical aspects of the EU Deforestation Regulation, emphasizing its implications for India's rubber sector. The discussions highlighted India's ambitious sustainability goals, the significance of traceability in supply chains, and the necessity for compliance with global deforestation regulations.

The session was focused on EU Deforestation Regulation and Climate Commitments. EUDR's stringent mandates on deforestation-free procurement and its impact on rubber trade, Supply Chain Risk Assessment. Importance of land ownership verification, deforestation analysis, and categorization of farmers based on risk levels. The role of technological solutions in mapping and monitoring compliance. Challenges in EUDR Rubber Segregation, the complexity of maintaining separate supply chains for EUDR and non-EUDR rubber. The need for geospatial data, due diligence statements and compliance with segregation protocols.

It also focused on Rubber Board of India's Role in Certification, Collaboration with TRST01 for a global initiative certifying SMEs and introduction of the Indian Sustainable Natural Rubber (iSNR) certification to promote sustainable practices.

Sustainable Rubber Production & Market Benefits, Potential global price premiums (10-35%) for sustainably sourced rubber. Efforts to position India as a leader in sustainable natural rubber production. Technology & Traceability in the Rubber Industry, Use of AI and ML for deforestation risk analysis.
